About UncommonSleep
UncommonSleep exists to make the world of sleep solutions easier to understand.
UncommonSleep makes sleep solutions easier to understand. We explain what’s known, what isn’t, and who each option may suit.
Most sleep content online falls into two camps. Some of it is generic lists with no real point of view. Some of it is product pages dressed up as “reviews.”
We wanted something in between: honest, independent coverage of sleep courses, products and approaches.
What UncommonSleep covers
We publish three kinds of content:
- Sleep guides that explain common sleep problems and practical ways to handle them.
- Reviews of sleep products and programs.
- Comparisons that put two options side by side.
Everything fits into four areas: mind & meditation, natural sleep aids, sleep environment, and sleep technology.
How we handle affiliate links
UncommonSleep is independently run. Some links on this site are affiliate links. That means we may earn a commission if you buy something, at no extra cost to you.
However, commissions never decide which products we cover or what we say about them. You can read the details on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
Our editorial rules
- We don’t publish star ratings we can’t back up.
- We don’t invent testimonials or reviews.
- When information isn’t public, we say “Not publicly stated” instead of guessing.
Our full standards are on the How We Review page.
No one-size-fits-all answer
Sleep problems have different causes, and people respond to different approaches. So instead of pushing one “best” product, we help you understand your options and who each one tends to suit.
If you’re not sure where to begin, start with your sleep problem.
What we are, and what we aren’t
UncommonSleep is an independent editorial site, not a medical practice. We don’t have a clinical team, doctors, sleep scientists or a testing lab. Our content is general information, not medical advice.
If a sleep problem is affecting your daily life, please talk to a doctor. See our Medical Disclaimer for more.
