How We Review
The standards behind every recommendation on this site.
Research
We look at available evidence and distinguish research from marketing claims.
Transparency
We consider ingredients, pricing, policies, sourcing and product information.
Comparisons
We compare different approaches rather than assuming one solution works for everyone.
User Fit
We explain who a product or approach may be suitable for — and who may want to consider alternatives.
The standard behind every page
- Research. We start from publicly available evidence and clearly distinguish it from marketing claims.
- Transparency. We consider ingredients, pricing, policies and sourcing as published by the brand.
- Product information. We draw on official product and program pages, not third-party rumor. Where a detail isn't publicly confirmable, our reviews say "Not publicly stated" instead of guessing.
- Evidence. Where relevant published research exists, we summarize what it does and doesn't support, in plain language.
- Comparisons. We compare different approaches rather than assuming one solution works for everyone.
- User fit. We explain who a product or approach may suit — and who may want to consider alternatives.
- Affiliate disclosure. Some links on this site are affiliate links. That relationship never determines which products we cover or how we describe them — see our Affiliate Disclosure.
- Updating content. Reviews and comparisons are revisited periodically, and each page shows when it was last updated.
A note on what we don't claim: UncommonSleep does not conduct independent laboratory testing of products, and does not present content as reviewed by a medical or clinical expert unless one actually was. Where we haven't personally tested a product, our reviews are built from published, publicly available information rather than hands-on testing claims.
